I left in September '69 and one of my squad was Victor Everhart from North Carolina.
I saw his picture on your site. I have not been able to find him with computer,
but I saw him here. It was a small reunion.
I wish we had had pictures from '68 and '69. That would have been fantastic. Maybe someone has a bunch and you'll have 'em one day.
Was with the 20th at Blackhawk Firebase, Oct/Nov/Dec'68; Camp Enari Px, Jan/'69; with the Land Clearing bunch (seems like 584th, but not sure) from Ban Me Thout to Cambodian Border Feb/Mar/April ,'69 ; at Cheo Reo working on airstrip , May/June, '69 ; in Kontum, minesweeping, and in Montangaard village, Jul/Aug/ and 17 September in the Seattle rain.
Please continue. And thank you for a memorable trip
Blackhawk was East of Pleiku before getting to Mang Yang (if memory serves
me right)....we were there in November and December of '68, repairing the road
......My unit was 'D' Company of the 20th. I have some pictures that my ex-wives
didn't destroy so maybe i can get a scanner one day..
I really appreciate the site and if anyone knows where Victor Everhart is i'd
love to get in touch with him. Actually i would love to see them all again 'cause
not a day goes by that they don't cross my mind.
Thanks again.....Dan
