My father left Ft Bragg with the 20th in the 50's and we moved between Ft Devens and Camp Drum every year up until we moved to Germany in '58. I was an engineer with the 643rd Engineer Co (Pipeline) which was attached to the 299th Engr Bn when I first got to the Nam in Sept '67. The company transferred to the 815th sometime in late '67 or early '68. I was transferred to the Headquarters Co. S-3 in March '68 and remained there until my transfer back stateside in Sept '68. I was at the Blackhawk FB out on QL 19 between Pleiku and the Mang Yang pass until I transferred and was on Engineer Hill until DEROS in Sept.
