Toured VN from as far north to Tam Ky and south to Phan Thiet. Left the states with the 6/84th. Our base camp was AnKhe.
The first firebase we setup at was LZ Crystal. Lost 135 men there KIA & WIA. In late April, I went TDY to escort a childhood friend's body back home. While trying to catch up with my unit, I served as a driver for ROK 'WhiteHorse" division commander. The 6/84th was 105 towed pieces. Was transfered to 'C' Btry 5/22nd around August and arrived in Pleiku. Stayed with them and our last firebase was LZ Sandy down near PhanThiet. They were an 8" and 175mm self-propelled unit.

I'm trying to find buddies; John T. Bussey, Earl Saysinger, Bob Swenson and Manning Stahl and others I served with.

Thanks.
